The work is not a mere depiction of the bright light falling upon the objects and the objects themselves. It creates an atmosphere and presence.
The painting is an echo of Impressionism attempting to capture the life of the moment in a Romantic set up, which gives the subject matter a deeper insight. The objects and fruit puts the stable world and systematic life in harmony with the organic and profound aspects of our life.
Biography:
Nathalie Debono is a twenty year old graduate from B.A. (Hons) Fine Arts. Her artistic work usually dwell with humanity, empathy and mental disorders. Nathalie works in a variety of media depending on the subject matter and concept. Though, most of her final pieces are oil on canvas, clay or wood sculptures and lately she has also been experimenting with video art. Apart from being intrigued by Fine Art, her interests broaden up to psychology, philosophy, literature, and science.
