Biography:
Arthur Dutton’s work is a journey into the unknown, an adventurous exploration of the cosmos that can be found reflected in the inner self. His paintings are an invitation to be in touch with ourselves and to create our own interpretation based on our inner feelings towards his work.
While Arthur does not feel the need to copy directly from nature, nature is a constant source of inspiration for the artist whose mind wonders on skies of sunsets and sunrises, reflections on calm waters and open lands of contrasting earth
tones.
The artist continually explores new media and has worked with pencil colour, watercolours, inks, ceramics, wood and now with acrylics on canvas. Highlights in his artistic career include; three personal shows held in the National Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta. His works are found in collections both in Malta and abroad.
