Biography:

Francis was born in Mosta, 12th January 1950. He studied under the supervision of the late Esprit Barthet, Karmenu Mangion and Harry Alden.

His subject matter is mainly "Landscapes" and " Still-Life", usually connected with scenes from the Romantic Past of a bygone Era which can still be admired on canvas. It is his impasto technique expressed brilliantly well with the palette knife which convey the beauty of almost 3D images.

He participated in various collective exhibitions, both locally and abroad, including The Malta International Biennale, The Bieganski Art Festival, National Yearly calendar Art Exhibitions and in other countries, England, Germany, Italy, Greece, America, Australia, China and International Art Festivals.

His first personal Art Exhibition was hosted at The National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta (1980 and 1992) followed by several solo exhibitions at The Malta Society of Arts, Olympia Exhibition Fair Grounds in London, Malta UK Day celebrations, The Malta International Airport, Local Councils, Four and Five Star Hotels and other Venues.

Recently Francis was appointed Ambassador for Malta by the Royal Talens of Netherlands, represented by Oval Brands Ltd Malta.

At Present he is a member of The Board of Directors of The Malta Society of Arts (MSA) and holds a Diploma in Educational Administration and Management.
