Aquilina always sought for inspiration from various old masters and contemporary artists to enhance and improve his own original style. His preferred medium is acrylics and his subject focuses on the human form.

The artwork shows one of the many Maltese Chapels scattered around the Maltese Islands, creating a great sense of nostalgia for the artist.
Biography:
Aquilina was born in 1978. A self-taught artists, he seeks to get inspiration from contemporary artists from around the world, as well as old masters.
His favourite subject is the 1950's and 1960's era along with New York and Cuba. His work often portrays scenes or portraits from these eras and places. Most of his works are Acrylics on Canvas and he enjoys painting in large scale.
Aquilina started taking part in collective exhibitions very recently, including SELFIE, held at Studio 104, Fine Art Space and this current exhibition Winter Salon 2014 at the same gallery.
