Navarro’s preferred media is Oil colour, however he also ventures in the spolvero technique and silver-point drawings.  His art focuses on people and the capturing of deep emotions.

My selfie painting is entitled the Scarecrow, it’s a work inspired by the celebrated artist Glenn Brown and it reflects a distorted or fading face, where the colours of the flash tones are literally wiped out. It is a scarecrow holding a cigarette with spiky smoke, waiting but at the
same time proud. It is not meant to scare; it is scared, because it’s not selfish, it’s just a selfie.
